Paddle fishes are easy to get in Taiwan, usually the trader import the eggs and hatch the small fishes every year. (Sturgeon also)
The teacher is a crazy Monster fish hobbyist, he buy these fishes and teach the students how to take care them...

What kind of so called "school" (albeit elementary) keeps a gigas in a tank way too small for it, along with an oscar, a pacu and a RTC - the gigas is probably the biggest freshwater fish on the planet...
I also agree with the poster, why has he choosen the dullest fish ever to keep? I mean dull in the colour sense. I doubt kids are gonna be drawn to those fish as much as something with a bit of colour to spark interest.

Education about what mate? Not keeping huge fish in tanks that need massive ponds minimum? I think I knew that already, but ok.
