WHAT ARE GOOD MONSTER POND FISH???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can only shake my head at some of the suggestions here. Wels and sturgeon in a 1000 gal pond, are you having a laugh?
OP, I'd go for either a small group of koi or a single LMB. Now that would be cool!

But in the original post i stated that i may get a bigger one like even a 3k gallon... And i think that who ever said only a single lmb is way understocking...

I would never understand why everyone suggested dull colored fishes for outdoor ponds if you don't see them very much. Better make the pond bottom light colored so you can see the fishes.

A couple white catfish, 4 redbreast sunfish, 4 golden shiners and a couple of Northern Studfish. This will give you colorfull and with the weather functional fish that are hardy with two of the fish native to your area.

Dude, I have well over 3k and 2 large lmb would look impressive in mine..
;)

Oh so I agree that one LMB might be slight understocking but a Wels in 1k would be inhumane..

Another suggestion: 1 LMB, 2 channel cats, small group of gars?

that LMB is going to beat the crap out of everything in the tank!
