What are some more "mellow/non-aggro" cichlids?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive had some harsh blunts :). if your getting a tank that big get some MONSTER FISH!! any cichlid you get will be aggro during spawning

Yeah, I've noticed that Sajicas get *****y during breeding, but who doesn't? They can be nasty to their own kind/sex..........

but I have had a few that are great with HRP's, Cutteri, a Port, Skunk Botia, and some Giant Danios (dithers/targets).

True but I've already got the uaru so I don't want anything that will beat it up...it's a really cool fish, one of those nice LFS surprises (6" for $20).

If I didn't have the U already, well my O would probably be in trouble as I'd be tossing in real monsters and telling my O to man up :)

Discus....

Rainbow Cichlids are very mellow. Heroltilapia Multispinosa

???sajicas mine arnt that bad while breeding, yeah the defend it but not overaly aggressive, i wouldnt nock sajicas they get realy nice colours in adult form and if you dont want a pair get a couple of the same sex they are easy to sex you have plenty of space in that tank,
the fish i would say would fit is:rainbow cichlids, blue acara, sajicas, thorichthys species(same as fm rapps has some amazing mixteco blue),hrp but may be to small for that tank as i dont no alot of any type of gar. i have kept all of the above fish and they all get along.

Honduran Red Points....
