i know people that do 90percent water changes every 3 days and they have no problems at all like said before it just depends on bioload, filter etc......
+1, I've found that even with my lack of experience, my pleco seems less affected by 2 25% water changes than 1 50% water change.I wouldnt do that much at the same time unless there was a major problem and you couldnt wait. but if your tank is ok to begin with I would do 30% 2x or so. Adding 50% or more at one time could maybe shock him or stess him out easyer.
I'm curious if there are benefits if i do extra water changes?
for example, I currently do weekly 30% water change to my tank,
will there be benefits to my fish if i were to do 30% water changes 2 times a week instead of just once a week?
what id my Nitrate level is quite low? what benefits are there besides getting rid of nitrate?

Do you do 90%? I can see it with hardy fish like cats and some older silver Aros and maybe piranhas in small tanks that need a extreamly good cleaning, but it might not be the best thing for fragile fish like payaras and rays. and to do a 90% water chinge I thing you would need a really gunked up filter with a sh*t ton of bacteria in it
i do 70percent 1 time a week
