What are the crazy things you will do for fish?

We all have done things that went above and beyond the norm
just for our hobby. We have gone overboard and done things that
makes you feel guilty afterwards. If those 2 lines apply to you.. Post those things that you did!


Off the top of my head ( and by no means the craziest )

1. skipped work to get new fish or fish related activities.

2. Went on 8 hour trips for fish. (LOL, this should be common).
 
I got my own place.

Seriously, one major reason I moved outta my mother's was so I could have more fish. I have also spend money on fish that I should not have spent...we have all done that before.
 
I had an above ground swimming pool in my living room for a few years, that was pretty cool!!!!! I was trying to get albino oscars to spawn. THis was late 80's early 90's when albino oscars were selling for $200.00 a piece at 1 inch long. Never did spawn for me. Ended up a home for my silver aro and a bunch of other big stuff....

I lived alone then, "she" won't let anything like that happen now..... :cry:
 
As stated by redtail, my usual modus operandi is to subtly convince friends or the gf that we should go shopping in areas where lfs are known to be
 
I've been known to blatently lie about the cost of a fish just so I don't have to catch hell on the ride home.
