Howdy,

This is more funny than crazy: Back in the days, I had molly babies who over night escaped from a floating nursery and roamed freely in my tank. I caught them all, then went to school. I was 30 min late, told the teacher straight out what the deal was. She looked at me and told me that that morning, her chicks had escaped from their pen without the hen. She came into work on time nevertheless, had to leave them roam until after school. But she had a smile on her face and I knew she wished she'd been a student and not the lady in charge, because then she'd also taken her time to catch them. ;)

lol wow now thats a story!!! :character0063:

i packed my entire family up on a school night to do a road trip for my passion for pets. I have 7 kids makes for interesting road trips expecially the late nite ones

I spent the last 2 years buying big tanks and fulfilling my game plan of 100g+ tanks for my dining area. Which means I have purposefully put the purchase of a decent family vehicle to the side in favour of this and my passion for old cars. Though I did recently cut a deal on 2 suburbans to take care of this cramped family style. We pick them up 2 week in november or earlier.

Here is a pic I snapped of a late night when my kids crashed in the beater mobile!!!!

Though keep in mind we have 6 old cars and pick up a 47 torpedo back in the spring so we could have a top notch cruiser by this time!!!!

i lie to my mom about the cost of the fish i buy and i save my lunch money for a new fish. i get at least a new fish every 2 weeks

ummm with a 24g and 77g how can you fit a new fish every 2 weeks thats crazy:grinno:

There is duct tape on my back drivers side window.. on my 98' 200k+ mile pontiac gtp.. Sale pending on my two horses.. my jeans are well worn, and i use suave shampoo. And I have more fishtank "stuff" then "stuff" of my own I'm fairly confident. And of course my fish eat 10X better then I do.

My roommate called me out on this one, I spend about 20 minutes defrosting, dicing, portioning and feeding a variety of frozen marine critters for my tank, my eel needs to be fed from forceps, as do my Protoreator stars, so that takes another few minutes depending on how stubborn/stupid the enchinoderms are about where they're posted up while I'm trying to feed them. It'd never struck me as weird that it takes nearly a half hour twice a week to feed that tank.

Granted, I prep the foods for my other tanks at the same time as the marine tank, so this covers my FW setups too

The only thing I can think of is that when I had my 40 gallon tank, I used to do water changes every day so the water would be clean.

Oh yeah, when I got my 120 gallon tank I set it up in like an hour, while my mom was still at work, and to this day I think she assumes it's still a 55. Lol.

Oh yeah, I also bought a 240 gallon without asking my mom, but she was nice enough to let me keep it.

spent money that really was intended for things like my house payment or car payment on fish.

I stole fish (huge tilapia) from a hotel pond at night with my mum.
had a nasty electric shock for a good 10 seconds while cleaning my tank. (stupid)
