what are the easiest cichlids to breed besides convicts??

MY ELECTRIC YELLOWS HAVE BRED TWICE AND THEY ARE STILL LITTLE.

I don't know anybody that does, and I guess since they are not that attractive or aggressive most people aren't interested. They're an old school fish and one of my favorites, although no LFS around here ever carries them.

some guy on here was willing to give some rainbow cichlids but they died of some weird ich he told me so that sucks i never got any rainbow cichlids but that okay i wish i did.

Last time I had rainbow cichlids, all three died after 12 days without power after the hurricane back in 2005.

i have two jack dempseys in my 50-55 g tank one is bigger than the other one and the bigg one chases the little one to the top so it stays to the top ,the problem is i cant tell if its a male or female they both look the same to me,i have had both of them for about an year now and one of them shows bluesh,turquiose color while the other still has its faded gray and black color with some blue freckles on his/or her cheeks..

i just want to breed some cichlids as long as they are not convicts,you mght be wondering why its because i notice mostly everyone has bred convicts but i want breed convicts when i have bred other cichlidsbefore.

the colorful one is the male, and the one with less color overall but freckles on the cheeks (gill plates) is the female. i would recommend that you put in a divider to seprate them so they can relax a little bit. fatten them up on good food and remove the divider after two weeks or so and see if they are interested in mating. just because you have a male and female doesn't always mean they will want to mate.
