we fished them out of a pond in north VA.

bout 2 inches on hte bigguns. there were hundreds of htem just waiting to be caught, what could they be?







and yes i realize the tank is too small. its temporary

thanks, Moe, hadnt thought of that.

these guys get pretty aggressive, right?
so if i were to acclimate them over about a month to tropical temperatures, they could maybe live with my sme-size juvi afro cichlids?

those are definetly baby bluegill. i have one. if you want to feed it without having to buy or look for worms, put them with fish that eat flakes. the bluegill will see that the flakes are good to eat and start eating them. thats how i got mine to start eating!:)

oh yeah. if you want to learn more about bluegill, look at my thread called "baby bluegill" i also have a pic of mine. hes about 2inches long too.
