Here are my two favorites:
1. The Manual of Fish Health by Adrian Exell, Chris Andrews, and Neville Carrington. A lot of information on almost every subject of fish health, individual diseases and various treatment options, as well as water chemistry and biology.
2. The Aquarium Owners Manual by Gina Sandford. This book contains a good amount of information on the history of fishkeeping, guides to setting up aquariums, what to look for when buying fish, breeding fish and raising fry and treating common aquarium ailments. It also contains profiles of some of the most commonly available fish in fresh, salt and brackish water as well as coldwater freshwater and marine fish and invertebrates.
Both of these books are fairly old at this point but i still find that they have a lot of useful information and are just fun to break out and read every once in a while. What are some of your favorite books on the hobby?
