You Oscars can cause an ammonia spike when unload after a big meal. There is a lag for your BB to convert it into Nitrate/nitrite.

Using your theory, this must mean that after a 'big' feeding, the oscars do a log then let the fecael matter decompose untill it turns into ammonia, which is then broken down by the BB? BB break down tiny fragments of ammonia even before they can be tested for and or remotely noticed by the fish.Scorponok;1312457; said:
