what can i breed in a 55gal.

It is possible for them to grow to that size, just wondering how the oscar turns around...
Most oscar keepers that I know try to have one full grown oscar in a 75 gallon for solo oscars.

there are some smaller species of snakeheads, but I do believe they like cooler waters. Also, make sure they are legal in Ontario. I believe there are some species of snakeheads that are illegal there. That is a rumor I heard and you know what rumors are like, lol.

A buddy of mine does keep rainbow snakeheads in a 55 gallon. They are not very large. I definitively suggest posting a thread in the snakehead area if you are going to try to breed them.

just because theyre in a small tank doesnt mean they wont grow. they will grow to their max size in any tank. as for the snakehead, i know they are illegal in the US. i am unsure about canada and still a 55g would be too small for it

they are not illegal where i am because they wont live in our lakesbecuse they get completlyfrozen over so they will dievery quickly without being abe to spreadlike they hve in the u.s, an the oscar seems to have no problem turing arroun same as the 17inch long violet gby i had i have a picture of him from before he died.

you may want to research snakeheads and ontario more before you get one...

I have found a few articles stating that snakeheads are banned in ontario.

now, they do not have an .edu or .gov, so they may not be real, but I do suggest researching it more before you try to own one.

You can breed jack dempseys, jaguar( my friend does this and they are just fine and have plenty of room, about a foot each), green terrors, convicts, firemouths, and texas cichlids if any of those interest you.

u could do a pair of Australoheros oblongum
