sorry to derail, but how do you plug in the pump/filter? do you just use extension cords?

If i were you id take it all apart and make it about 10x bigger. Get rid of those bricks and use flat sandstone and create a lip over the edge of the pond. Change the waterfall into a bigger stone waterfall. Then get urself some lilly pads and water hyacinths to put in there as vegetaion. The hyacinths have nice purple and blue flowers. Then get urself a nice sized RTC to put in that baby.
Haha i mean thats what id do. Im about to start my RTC pond soon.
Thats what im about to sta
i would make it bigger but since this is my show pond in the garden am limited as my moms stupied roses and stuff are in the way when i dig. am lucky i got it this big as she almost fainted when i took out like only 2 of the rose plants...orginaly i was going to do sandstones but in my area there were none! i will make it a bigger stone waterfall tho! i have loads of extra river stones.
plan on picking some up this weekend
i might just do an rtc just might i do have my pond heaters as this used to be a bala shark pond. whats the lowest comturable temp for a full grown rtc? i have a empty 98"x98" pond but i really would like to go saltwater on that one.

I would add some floating plants and a branchy piece of driftwood or two. I also like redtail's idea top switch out bricks with natural stone
Driftwood look nice! but where?

i like it a ton. i would love a pond like that in my back yard. just hope that your parents love fish like you do cause when you go to college, youll have to enlist your dad/mom to take care of it
thanks man

my dad used to be in the hobby then i took over so i would trust him with the ponds
