What Can I Feed My Saratoga Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i feed mine aro sticks (hikari), market prawn, and gutloaded smelt. i've seen a arowna stick that tetra makes. not sure how good if there are better then hikari.

Crickets are good otherwise any good floating food sticks , there are alot for aros/toga on the market , just try a few and see what he likes.

Anything. Pellets, raw prawn, crickets, everything. Fish fillet , mussels. BUT if you have it on pellets, keep it there!

another additional question...does jardini eat the same food as asian's?

Oh man!
i would say arowans are not picky feeders, but once they love a food, its hard to get them off.
if you have a hungry aro, they will eat chicken, beef fish, shelfish, prawns, and if really hungry eventualy pellets.

i feed mine shelled prawn one a day now, its 15 to 16 inches now.

my red aro is fed shelled prawns but in half with a pelet shoved into it for the vitamin goodies.

Yup, you can feed the Jardini same like asian aro
But suggest use fishes and shrimps as aro's main diet.
If feed too much insect type of foods, the aro will become fat and fussy eater (picky feeders)...this is no good for their health.

i started feeding my arowana prawns and he stopped eating the food sticks think ima start gut loading the prawns, hes getting spoiled
