If you go with a Jag,it would be great,but at the same time it depends what you put with it,cause a Jack Dempsey,Oscar,midas,dovii,flowerhorn would stand up to a jaguar with no issues.Already had a jaguar at one point that was 7 inches,full of personality,but decided to mess with the wrong fish one day and ended up getting beaten up badly by my Oscar.

If you do get a Sal make sure you have lighter color substrate. I had a Sal with black sand and his color was dark dark.
