what can live with arros??

How succesful a comm is has a lot to do with the individual arowanas temperment. I have seen success stories with tetras, discus & an assortment of other fishes. Personally I have been no problems keeping aros with clown loaches, peruvian wild angels etc.

Ocassionally some of the inhabitants might get harassed. It can be a little nerve wrecking to watch but so far so good :D. I also use to have one particular aro that use to tear up anything that was put in the tank with him. That piece was a disaster!
 
How much $$ do you have to spend??
 
I have my 10" silver aro with the following;

8" Black Clown Knife
9" GOld Clown Knife
3- 4" Parrot Cichilds
6" Ornate Bichir
Stripped raphael cat
Green phantom pleco
Hi FIn Pleco
small pleco

They seems to get along fine. Everyone of them likes to hide and the aro swims on top ll the time

You might be able to keep Convicts with it. If the cons get too aggressive...........well.......with an Arowana's mouth being so big and the cons being so tiny...........I think you get the picture.
 
75 Gallon tank for aro's is too small, 1 aro will out grow that tank in about 1 year or less. If your interested in keeping an aro starting them in a 75 gal would be fine, however an adult aro would require 200 gal min or a 6ft x 2.5 ft x 2 ft min.
