Thank you for sharing that tip! I'm color deficient and can't see green, so the pH and Ammonia tests are nearly impossible for me to read. This should help.

I'd say that your Nitrites are around 3.0 ppm, maybe a little higher.

Personally looks like 2.0 for the nitrites. If your cycling and you have nitrates and nitrites, that's a bit weird.


I wonder if there is a reason to why they say don't put the vials over the colors then compare. Or are they just making stuff up.

Not at all, its normal to have both mine are just a little higher than they should be due to over feeding. Im right at day 30.

never knew that, makes sense really. To get Nitrates you need nitrites and the nitrites will slowly go down as nitrates get higher until their gone. :)
