Do you have Chlorine or chloramines in your water?

I'm sure I do but I have been using Stresscoat on all my tanks since I have had them with no problems.

Do you hold your python below water when you re-fill the tank?

Do you get tiny micro-bubbles everywhere?

Yep.
Could well have been something in the water you added. Or a big difference in its pH.
I've had a similar thing happen in the past so now I test my supply water before every change.

If it were something in the water shouldnt it have killed all the fish? The Jar is doing fine.

I re-fill the old fashion way 5gal buckets.

I am going to check water params on tap water when I get home today. I took a large sample of water striaght from the tap b4 I left for work.

damn savage :(

it happens to the best of us. try doing less amounts of water changes maybe twice a week. i honestly think 50% is to much to do per week. i do 50% like once a month on my smaller tanks, and 50% like once every 2 months on my larger tanks. my fish grow like weeds

Maybe it's me but I dont think my water is as clear with less waterchanges. Plus you can see the poop that just sits on the top of the sand. I vac that stuff out once a week but I could always decrease the amount of water I take out.

I do 60-70% weekly and my fish are growing like crazy.

I have no idea what your problem is though:confused: maybe PH shock...

We need the exact stats for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph in your tank, one persons interperatation of such water quality may not be the same as another persons, so the exact stats will help a lot- it would also be useful to know the results from the same types of tests on the water coming straight out of your tap too.
