What did this hobby save you from?

hookers, i just kept buying them, 3 at a time until i bought a canister filter and could only afford one a week
 
i think this hobby saved me alot of times from loseing my head it seams right when im at the braking point a start looking at my tanks and thay kinda calm me down and for that reason i have put tanks in every room of my house that way as i am paseing and screaming at nothing because of my paranoia i see my fish and realize that the world is alot simpler then what it seams and these little guys no matter what are counting on me to stay alive and be happy for both are sake
 
It did not save me from anything. I just enjoyed keeping fish. It probably just occupied time I would have spent waiting for friends to wake up or from just doing nothing. I still kept all my other expensive hobbies and I still went out. Maybe it kept me from spending a little to much at the arcade when I bought stuff for it... hmm.
 
I got out of some pretty bad habbits, fk has never saved me but it did help in my recovery and it does help keep my mind off of addiction. It helps me relax naturally after coming home from a 12 hour day, just flopping on my couch and looking into a new, uncomplicated world with no worry.
