I would say fish keeping is my stress therapy! My husband would say it keeps me grounded! I'm a 9-11 survivor and I have to say some of the most difficult times I had in my life were the years after. The stress was unbearable and although I only had Betta bowls at the time, I remember whenever I would get depressed, anxious, angry or upset when I watched them and feel better. Then I remember getting more into the hobby and learning about oddball fish. Gradually I went from Betta bowls, to a 20 gal, to a 55 then a 150! My son is into fish now and its cool to see how responsible he can be with them. My husband is very supportive as he had small community fish growing up and now he is amazed by the monster fish out there and now has a few fish of his own in my 150. Now I'm convincing him that we need a indoor pond! LOL There is nothing quite like putting so much hard work into a set up and get to sit back and watch the fish do their thing! It's so relaxing and I love it!
