What did you buy special for your fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm always buying stuff for my fish. A couple of my tanks have some really ugly ornaments because one of the fish loves them and I can't bare to take it out, lol. Seems like fish always like the ugly/tacky ornaments that you just happened to throw in there temporarily and then when you put a beautiful ornament or something they completely ignore it or won't go near it.

But anyway, I've bought tanks for fish, certain decorations, certain foods, even other fish that they'd like to interact with.

I just bought a huge expensive piece of driftwood for my 90g 'cause I thought my Leporinus and ropefish would love it. The Leporinus has taken over a hole in it and won't let anyone near there.

Liz that is so darn cute!!!! HE fills up it up nice LOL He is beautiful and worth the $50 it appears he is happy you bought him that. :)

you have done quite a bit. .... i have to eventually get that old fashion gravel with ugly colors out and get some nice white sand.. my front and african tanks have sand and what a difference..so yes your fish are happy on the beach.. :D

I do everything I can for them. My Beani does this really funny thing where he'll stick his head in a deep sand bed and then shake his head and spit it all over lol. It's like when a flamingo sticks it's head in sand thinking no one can see him lol. The new setups were a little pricey though.

Sometimes i think the things we end up getting for the fish are wayyyy over the price of the fish.. i could buy alot of fish.. lol but like i said before the enjoyment we get back is not measured in dollars and cents..
