What did you do the last time you got bored in this hobby?

Yes, we know some of you have never been bored in this hobby. :D

This question is for the veterans of the hobby! What did you do? Get into a new species of fish never owned before? Start researching filtration and water chemistry more? Better yet, buy a new tank? Change your tank decor or subtrate? etc.

Share what you did...

try breeding set ups for the fish.
change the decor etc.
That's what i've done in the past.
This site helps 'cause your still always learning which keeps you happy with the hobby- I'll doubt I'll ever get out of it though.

Ive been getting bored and was thinking about getting into another species or getting into breeding.:naughty:

i'd probably have tried that if you have the room to do it - i don't like trading fish much that's why I tried breeding them. Kind of steps up how seriously you take it and adds a new dedication level I think.

I've done all of that!! I usually end up moving fish around or getting new ones.. totally tearing down a tank and re-doing the whole thing is cool.

My most recent switch was into my first reef setup-
Couldn't be happer with the results on this decision.......

sell fish look for new ones......

I'm not really as "veteran" as some people here. But I'll agree this site with it's info helps the hobby not get boring. But usually boredom is my reason for selling fish and buying new.

Well, Ive actually thought about going salt or planted. Either one would be nice in my 240 or 180.
