Hi everybody am new to this forum and I liked it very much because it is the place where you can find all experts fish keepers in here I know I talk to much
OK I bought 3 Black Ghost Knife fish this week and they are 2" so my question is what can I give to these little adorable creatures to eat ? what do they eat ? and I want to know how sensitive are they?

feed pellets or FBW ( frozen bloodworms)

DO YOUR REASEARCH NEXT TIME!

Black Ghost Knifefish require tanks around 50 gallons or more when they are at their max size which is 12 inches they cannot be housed together even when they are juveniles because in my experience 5 of my BGK were killed by the domininant one.

they will get bigger than 12 inches eventually (takes long time). max is probably 14-16.

but bgk aren't really picky eaters. They love worms (blood, black, earth) but ive seen them eat pellets or flakes before.

and yes... eventually you will be done to 1 bgk when it kills the two others.

you can try praying to whatever thing you believe in. But you are going to have to be very lucky for it to work...

Yup...you'll definitely need to get rid of 2 or one of them will do it for you. As for growth rate, they grow pretty slow. Best growth rate you'll get out of them is about 1/2" every month, but at 2" they may grow just a bit faster until they hit 5"-6" and then slows down.

feed frozen bloodworms, shrimp, chopped up garden worms work well too, sinking shrimp pellets. Unless you're keeping the knifefish by himself feed only at night, when the lights are low. You can try to break him off this pattern of nocturnal behavior, but this can be tricky.
I think that water changes for any fish are a must. The kinds of foods these guys eat can make the tank somewhat messy, but in general they are not heavy polluters like a larger cichlid. Change the water every week, provide cover for them from lighting (caves, plants, driftwood).
