what do BGK eat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hi we feed ours. almost anything, including frozen peas thawed and removed from the shells. another awsome food ours like is small earth worms, pretty cool to see them gobble up those worms. About keeping more than one in a tank,in my opion is not a good thing at all. one will become the dominant one and possibly kill the other two in time. It seem that the peaple that sold you these should have told you that! good luck.

thanks everyone In here still I have one more question
are BKF very sensitive to medicines like if I treat them with some medicines should I treat them in especial way or just like other fish ??

I have only ever treated mine for parasites in QT before he went into the main tank and I treated the same as any other fish. I don't believe you have to alter any meds that have to be given. They are sensative in that they will only thrive in a well maintained tank IMO. Keep the water clean and you shouldn't have to treat them for anything.

Also they can be conditioned to come to the top of the tank to be fed. My BGK is like a dog and prefers to be fed by hand and will lie quietly on top of my hand afterwards.
