i think in someways saltwater looks nicer. and you would think people would keep saltmore, cause there is more monsters in the ocean.
Just because there are more monsters in the ocean, doesn't necessarily mean there are better monsters in the ocean. ;)

Personally, there are very few SW fish that I would ever really want to keep.

actully there are some amazing beast out there......

Salt water fish are really cool. coral and all that are pretty but not easy and not cheap . If you don't do a reef tank then you just have live rock and to me I don't think it looks all that good. I do love sea slugs and all thoes other neat creatures.

For me I love green I love a planted tank. I think fresh water fish are just as fun. Sure most don't have the bright colors saltwater does. I love my fresh water.

totally understandable hahaha ;)

I personally chose saltwater as harder...

The reason i say SW is harder is not so much because of the mixing of Salt, worrying about levels etc, but more because the cost in the long run would cost a heck of a lot more due to the fact i would absolutely have to run a chiller on it 24/7 since HK gets so damn hot... plus constantly having to buy salt etc all adds to the bill...

salt is harder to setup, but easier to maintain a balanced ecosystem (IMO) assuming it isn't just a predator tank.

i have experience with both.

I don't think one is harder than the other, I just think saltwater is a bit creepy because wierd things can randomly appear in your tank one day. (like rather large worms...)

BUT I think saltwater is a bit more expensive on a large scale because of the need for salt ... it gets expensive after a while.

Saltwater is harder for me to accomplish on a budget. To many pretty inverts and fish.
