What Do we think of these fibreglass tanks?

It would be really interesting to see if enough people wanted these to get together a bulk order of assorted sizes and share the costs of a shipping container. Be aware the listed prices on that website are actually “asking” prices and they will discount them 25-30% for a full container load of assorted sizes. Considering Pentair imports these exact tanks in the smaller sizes and tries to sell the 8x4x3 720g for $2200 a full container order would land that tank on the west coast for about $700 ! That’s less then a buck a gallon !

Just imagine if you could get enough people to make like 3-5 shipping containers...... The deals you could get. You could even buy more then what you need then sell them at a decent profit. Maybe to a pond store :D.
Hmm what's this on my keyboard? Oh it's drool because I'm imagining all of those tanks and deals!!
Also they could make good sumps.

View attachment 1333469 View attachment 1333470 You can also get them with a full height window... this is one they had at the koi show last year.
I've just ordered one of these for my Ray's. They are brilliant.

Mine is going to be 7 x6x3.3 with a 6x2 viewing panel.

In my room the tank will be surrounded on 3 sides by walls any ways so hence I only need a window on the front.

They are also cheaper here in the UK than a glass tank. . A quote for glass tank of same footprint but only 30" tal was £3500, gods knows how much would be for the extra foot tall, whereas this only costing me £2000. And acrylic tanks here in the UK will be even more as not that common.

They are also movable a lot easier than glass tanks as lighter and stronger, which means they are resaleable and less breakable. They also don't have any horrible top braces so get full viewing from above, which for big fish or Ray's is amazing.

I can see them not being as appealing to many, but for me they have a lot of benefits!!

Right on man! The lack of a top brace means you can put decorations however big you want.

That’s the thing the prices however are different.... £2000 .... this one is 8x7x3 with 2 windows of 6x2 for £615. Landed in UK add £420 for shipping and VAT.

Haha, I love that last pic where it's like the ray is showing off his belly. "Oh don't mind me, I'm just gonna show you my stomach."

These can be acquired here in the states as Rubbermaid makes them too if I am not mistaken?
