freshwater, catch and release. now, Saltwater. thats a different story. if i get kepper size flounder, fluke (yeah, basically same thing), or striper, theyre gonna be our dinner.

most of the time its c&r but im not a fan of it because alot of the time you stress it enough when you reel it in. so instead of just letting it die and rot on the bottom, i think its better to get some use out of it. i only got in private lakes so it really doesnt matter what i keep and what i release.

:iagree:

Cause I cooked some striper we caught one day out of the ocean and man no fishy taste or nothing. It came out great!

I donk care really about people keeping fish but if people just put all the LMB back fishing would be better!!

I usually catch and release. Although, this year I did stock a 55 gallon with 6 green sunfish and 2 black bullhead. Always wanted a native species tank and the sunfish are more interactive and aggressive than most cichlid species i've kept. One day I'd love to have a indoor pond with some muskie or pike (preferably caught by myself).
I kept 2 Greenies for years until they got too big for my 39g and one killed the other.....sunfish are awesome pets.

IF I lived near saltwater I would definately keep more of my fish! I love your avatar bro.

I usually catch and release. The only exceptions where I wouldn't release is if I was starting a native tank and even then It would probably only be one of a certain species, if the fish was injured, or I was catching it to eat. Last time I kept a fish was last December I caught trout in Wyoming Icefishing and kept one which I cooked and ate.

Im 98% C&R, any large fish I snap a pic and send it back. Now if I get into a school of nice size crappie then I keep what im going to eat.
