Well Angel I never said you were wrong. In fact if you read what I wrote I said it was great the way you handle your bird. Now let me tell you I do not declaw cats, tattoo fish or clip birds wings so I will except your apology any time.
I will say in all honesty though that you have been really swayed by animal rights groups brain washing. Is it wrong also to do animal testing in labs to save human lives. Because then I will be the mad one as it has saved my life as a diabetic.

You don't even know me on a personal level, don't assume that I've been brainwashed by animal rights groups. Is it wrong to experiment on animals in order to save human lives? I would argue that perhaps it's not, although I must admit I do have mixed feelings about it. Is it wrong to test cosmetics and hairspray on animals, or conduct sensory deprivation tests? Hell yes, it is. That has nothing to do with animal rights propaganda, it has to do with my own personal beliefs and moral code.

I find your statement about me being brainwashed by animals rights groups to be very loaded, to be honest. That's like saying someone who is pro-life has been "brainwashed" by pro-life groups, or someone who is pro-choice has been "brainwashed" by pro-choice groups. It makes no sense. Perhaps that person just has those set of beliefs due to their upbringing, personal beliefs, feelings, etc. Not everything is so black and white. I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with animal welfare groups, but that doesn't mean everyone who cares about animals is some kind of extremist..

You said you don't agree with testing cosmetics on animals who should they be tested on. would it be better a person receives a chemical burn from something than a mouse. You even are on the fence about drugs to save human lives.
I was only 10 years old when I got diabetes to me your fence sitting is a little harsh. How ever you are not the only person with these emotions and it is not your fault. The ideals of these groups have been spreading for over 50 years. The goal of these groups is to end animal ownership and give them equal rights to people.
I have not said you are one of these people and I believe you would very sad if you were forced to give up your parrot. The same goes for me. My life would be destroyed if forced to give up my animals and fish.my only goal is to get people to see how we are all being brain washed.

I think you need to calm down a bit. Every life has value and putting one above another may seem logical yet I guaranty that you wont cut off a mice's toe or knowingly starve a monkey to the point it dies going in to view the cage everyday knowing your the reason it suffers.

I'm getting a tough guy persona from you as you state nothing is higher than a human life. I do agree to a point as we humans do a higher intelligence in a group but many are just as dull as a turtle. Your ignorance of the value of a life makes you one of these dull turtles. Deciding a life is yours for the taking is selfish and it seems you are the one who is brain washed.

If you don't know what that is then i'll put it in terms which is as simple as it gets, it's a independent pure perception of what we seem fit. If you don't understand why I bring this context then read the following, if you see a dog getting beat to death you instantly know its wrong and no one tells you its wrong.

You argue the point of testing on animals yet technology is to a point where we KNOW what "burns" and what doesn't. Who knowingly touches a hot stove twice? The point being argued is taking a birds natural right to fly. We don't naturally walk on the moon so why would we miss it? Danielcho I am not a tough guy that is for sure I like animals as much as anyone else.
I believe you may need to calm down but the words I am typing are true. Farmers in Canada and the United States are finding this out all to late. You missed the point about walking on the moon. What it said so you can understand is if you never experienced it you can not miss it. What I was referring to was most pet birds are captive bred now so they will not miss the wild. We have parrots that have room to fly but prefer to walk why I have no idea. Maybe it is because they were captive bred and never learned or needed to is that cruel.
You claim a freedom of choice but now want to say I am wrong because I believe a human is more important that an animal. Sounds like you are a little 2 faced. Am I a bad person I eat meat and also hunt. Here is a fact us terrible hunters do more every year to conserve animals than any other group. But if you recall in bambi we are the bad guys. To make it simple for you bambi is a childhood movie. When I hunt or eat meat an animal dies to feed me and sometimes in this case I pick which one. This does not make me a bad person as I would try and stop some one beating a dog.
I can only assume you were talking lab testing with your monkey example I will not back down on that.
I watched my mother wither away to nothing with cancer and suffer for months. So if testing drugs on mice or rats can prevent another person from that then I am all for it. As I said I have diabetes and would have died 40 years ago without animal testing. If you want to see it stopped tell me who has compassion. Unless you enjoy stories of human suffering. Most of us would not be here today without testing on animals so just think about that.

me to but for some reason I find myself getting sucked in from time to time, ohh my head hurts, think i need another brain wash, any one have a buff puff i can use? sorry but some of this stuff gets so far out there, take care of your own as they are meant or as close as you can and there is no abuse. 2+2=4, not something you can fudge with.
