i think to be a monster the fish has to be fully grown with a bigger attitude, regardless of species

Look guy, a monster fish is one that is predatory, demands respect because they beat the living daylights out of tankmates.

:iagree: WITH OUT A DOUBT:thumbsup:

I'll say it again... Whem you see 12 inch Clown Loaches and 15 inch Balas.. whatever the fish: When it Has hit it's ful size that's pretty neat. Considerating how long that might take and how much it cost to get it there I would consider it a monster even if it were an ANGELFISH( DAMN I HIT THE CAPS LOCKS KEY--I HATE WHERE THEY PUT IT)

pacus to me are a monster!!

I was just wondering. How big does a fish have to be to qualify as a monster, or is it simply the type of fish? My biggest fish to date are my orange pike which is about 9.5-10", and my red devil which is about 8"-8.5' or so. However, i do have others that should qualify as monsters in the future. A jag, a gt, a rt, 2 jds, and another rd, as well as a common pleco :naughty: though they are all small for the moment. Just curious.

Search for monster on the forum. You'll come up with some hits. Monster can be just about anything, behavior, size, tanks... etc.

to me a monster fish is a fish that does not go in ur avergae community 25 gals like neons, cardinals corys zebra danios. it is a fish to be proud of that many people would like to have tanks but cannot for a reason ov size or does not fit into their community tanks
