What do you consider "big"...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
To outside aquarium keepers, a 55 is huge. A 180 Is a "big" tank though. Probably one of the most common tank sizes on Mfk as well.

180s are extreamly common on MFK! 120s are also but my 120 48x24x25 is not the common size.

Heres my chart that I made up...

15 gallons or less=verysmall
16-30 gallons=small
31-40 gallons=decent
41-49=a little over avrage
50-69=semi big
70-99=decently big
100-199 gallons-big
200+ gallons is very big

What is a 4ft tank that bis 48x24x25? I know it is not 6 foot but it is VERY wide for a 120 and most 120s are 6ft.

I have one of these. It's a great shape. It's only 5 gallons less than a 6' 125 but in a 4' space.

Edit: It's in my sig

Yea I love it, if I got the 6 ft tank I would be forced to put it in a spot I don't like. It is very wide so it is really good beacause it is very usable space but 110s are horible beacause they are just taller.

Honestly anything over 100 gallons is pretty big; but for me to actually say "wow, that's a big tank" it'd probably have to be at least a 240.

...When I first bought my 125 I thought it was huge, now I'd just consider it a grow-out tank. It's funny to think that to 99.9% of the rest of the world not on MFK a 55 is gigantic.
