Asst. Keeper (zoo), Previously an aquarist (working with MBA, wanted the opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals for a little while though, but planning on going back to mainly aquatics soon), working towards finishing my Zoology degree, studying with the Animal Behavior Institude, getting certified in Zoo and Aquarium Sciences, covering husbandry and record keeping, animal training, exotic animal conservation and management, animal nutrition, health and disease, environmental education and outreach, animal enrichment, behavior and training of marine mammal, etc. And because I am a geek and addicted to school, doing my vet tech program as well. Looking at relocating soon, so when it comes to further jobs, I will probably go back to aquariums, rather than zoo's for a while at least. But it's good to be well versed in all aspects of any given profession, no matter what you choose, so remember never to box yourself in, but rather, expand your education and exposure to each element of what you decide to do.
