I'm a dog groomer / makeup artist
I love both of my jobs to bits. Good income, flexible schedules, I couldn't ask for more.

I work with developmentally disabled adults.the pay sucks and the hours are weird.Ive been kicked scratched cursed out and had stuff thrown at me.
Ive also been paid to go to concerts,movies and restaurants.Camping fishing sports events and even fish shows.The only way to advance is to give up the fun parts and take a job with worse hours and not much more pay.
But I love it,and am so reluctant to give up the good feeling I get from putting a little fun in these folks lives Ive stayed at the job for 14 years.I started with the intention of doing it temporarily.
Unfortunately I cant reccomend it as a career choice.If I was not financially secure when I started,it would have been an exceedingly bad choice.

I'm the frozen foods specialist for Whole Foods Little Rock. It's a great company to work for and the coworkers are incredible. However, if you don't like busting your butt for medium to low pay then I don't recomend retail. I don't think I could maintain this level of intensity when I'm older. I'm going back to school in Jan. and yet even 9 years after graduating highschool I still have NO %$#@ing idea what I'll do for the rest of my life. So I know how you feel!
