Ok, so I have my first fry.. and it was successful. Heck, I didn't even try. Despite the make killed the female. Miraculous survival of these lil ones :headbang2 and its been about a month or more. Anyway, I was wondering what everyone does with fry?? Do you keep all of the survivors?? Thats got to be ALOT. Do you sell them? Give them away? Use them as feeder fish? Buy more tanks and make your collection bigger and bigger? What?
I'm contemplating what to do since I can't purchase another tank for now and just figuring things out.

Hi,mostly it depends on what species they are, some fishes are sold very quickly others need more time, for oddballs you need time, one more thing to consider is how many frys do you have?

about 35 or 40. i dont plan on selling them.. but just getting an idea what everyone does because it seems everyone gets fry often lol

They're convicts =/ yeah yeah I know

To the point ey? No beating around the bush. You use all/any fry as feeders?

I usually leave them as feeders espcially my mosquito fish. When its my Oscars or my Pacu or silver arrows I tend to sell them on ebay. Its actually pretty easy on their either that or cragslist and whatevers left over either becomes feeders or grows up.

not all and not any, but there convicts, id say ull prolly have a hard time selling em, you could try giving them away but other than that id say feeders, that what most ppl who breed feeders breed as there feeders anyway.

yah any other cichlid and it could possibly be worth something. but convicts are roach fish that are excellent for feeders and definitely healthier than store bought (well that parts up to you). but at least they don't have parasites.

and the verdict lies on feeder fish, like stated above, any other cichlid you might of had some money on your hand, but convicts are all over the place and there the rabbits of the fish keeping world.
