What do you do with fry?

I give my Angels,dwarf cichlids,and corydora all my convict fry before they absorb the yolk sack,and start swimming.They love them.

i put them all in a 40 gal tank, feed them til 2 inches, kept the top 10 and sold the rest to the fish store!

feeders. Unless its my Angelfish. Then I give them away mostly or gift them to my favorite struggling lfs

Once your fry get bigger, call some local fish stores and see if any of them would take them - Nature will cull the weaker ones and be sure to cull the deformed ones yourself (if you have any) - Although convicts are common, sometimes the lfs don't order them but will take free ones. Sometimes they will even offer you a discount if you purchase something on the spot - often they will just take your fish and not offer anything so don't expect anything back. If you bag them 2 at a time using materials from the lfs themselves, they greatly appreciate it and it increases your chances of doing future *business* with them.

My livebearers keep dying in late pregnancy, but when I actually had successful hatches I used to give them away on Freecycle. I make the listings a little wordy so I can be sure they're going to people who know what they're doing.
