What do you do with your water changes? I usually water all my plants(excluding vegetables) with it. The problem is that I don't know if it is safe to water vegetables with that water.. And, an increasing number of tanks means having more "used" tank water to dispose of.
Anyone know??

i siphon it onto plands aswell i think old tank water would be brilliant for vegetables

right down the very wastefull drain...

I agree that the water would be wonderful, but i'm concerned with potential health hazards. For example, if you water a lettuce with your tank water, will it be contaminated with some kind of nasty bacteria or something like that?

Presumably if your not using malachite green or something similar it will be fine, fish waste, plant ferts, co2 etc wont harm anyone. it will only benefit the veg. i wouldnt chance it with some whitespot dose or something similar though.

one thing rain does is to clean the airit does this by removing particulant matter as it comes down that includes all the nasty chemical we release into the air eventually come down with rain somewhere. So water the veggies anything comming out of the tank is cleaner than the air.-Anne

Yup. I use it to water plants, flowers, lawn, and Vegtables. Gotta be safer than miralce grow.

In the winter I run the Python hose into the bath tub. The rest of the year I water the plants with it. I can't see it being bad for the garden unless you've just medicated the tank otherwise water away. My Discus tanks are filtered through Peat so the Tomatos love the acid!
