What do you do with your water changes?

I like to use my tank water on the veggies at my parents house, as well as the yummy herb garden and fruit bushes -- fish water does mint plants and raspberries so much good!!! Try to get the water more at the base of the plants than just dumping it on the actual fruit/veggie/flower itself.

As long as you rinse stuff before you eat it you're good.

Any water that I have that has been treated for ich or whatnot just gets dumped on the base of trees and flower bushes -- still good for them, just not something I would chance eating.

i water the driveway, but it still wont grow:confused:
huh.. you're the first to tell something like that
generally, anything grows much better with tank water..

Since i use salt in my tanks, i send it down the drain. I wouldn't water any vegetables that you don't cook first because of salmonella. I think it can live inside the plant and if so, washing it off won't help.

Taco Bell anyone?

Fish waste water is a great fert for all house plants, in the summer that's the water they get

I store the old water in buckets, bins, barrels for my parents to water the garden with. If they are full, I will just connect the hose to a garden hose and water the plants.
