Water the yard.

We sometimes use the tank-water in the summer for the plants! And they seem to thrive on it!

Water the yard? Why waste the stuff doing that!

Because the plants in my yard love it and I don't have to waste water to do so.

In the fall after I've harvested all my veggies from my garden I do my winter clean out in my pond. All the water, mulm and dead plant matter goes into my veggie garden, and is tilled up. The garden produces fantastically year after year.

I live in the desert and we are going through a very bad drought. Of course all that good water goes to the trees, grass, and shrubs. ;)

I use my tank water for plant's (as long as i've not treated the tank) . I'm a keen gardener and i think the tank water help's to feed the plant's , my bromeliad's are growing much better with tank water instead of tap water.

Plants feed on nitrates in the soil. Generally, they need bacteria to perform the same processes that they do in your tank before they can get nitrogen into its useable form. Pouring water from your tank onto the plants makes it easier for the plants to take up the nitrates.

Ours goes directly to the greenhouse during the winter months. Once the greenhouse is cleared out I use the water for the outdoor container plants. Been doing it for years! Works well for the plants.

one thing rain does is to clean the airit does this by removing particulant matter as it comes down that includes all the nasty chemical we release into the air eventually come down with rain somewhere. So water the veggies anything comming out of the tank is cleaner than the air.-Anne
Acid Rain...:WHOA:
