I'm new 2 keeping large fish and was wondering what kinds of foods will a aro eat and is good for them. mine is about 9 inches long and taking small feeder fish and crickets. I'm just looking for more things i can feed him and i also like to have back ups like freeze dried shrimp that i can feed him in case feeders aren't available.

I feed my arow Azoo arowana pellets as a staple and frozen silversides. Krill and other fresh fish pieces such as talapia and cod.. i would get your arow off of feeders if possible.. not much in nutrition and unless you raise your own feeders can introduce disease..also i feed fresh shrimp cut up small ...head and tail removed and shell.. just safer.. he loves them as a treat..

feeders are bad, to many risks. get him on frozen shrimp, smelt and massivore. seems to be the general staple.

my baby aro is on blood worms until he is a little bigger cat wait to start giving him pellets. I think he at a cricket or two

anyone have experience with the azoo 9 in 1?

Agreed. I also don't feed mine feeders. To risky with all the diseases they get from pet stores. I mine is about 17 inches now and he gets defrosted silverslides, freeze dried shrimp and market shrimp.

tilapia and shrimp and food sticks
