I've had cichlids for about 15 years and as they get larger I typically feed them pellets for the most part(very seldom bloodworms,brineshrimp,etc). They're all super healthy but the pellets are both messy and pricey! I wanna hear what a few of you are feeding your monsters besides pellets...

I feed earthworms,crickets,dried tubifex cubes,live bloodworms which i culture myself in a small pond and varieties of pellets.
For the majority of my fish, pellets make up about 80% of my food rations. This is supplemented with raw prawn/shrimp, large earthworms, meal worms and fish fillets.
Market shrimp and NLS pellets. I can see a difference in all of my cichlids. I just started feeding the NLS, bought a thing of it from the lfs to see if they would like it..........they do.
IMO you can live a fish off of pellets it entire life. That's why they're made. Xtreme cichlid food, Hikari, and NLS are the best foods on the market.
I've had customers have fish that would never survive on frozen, and when they switched to just pellets, the fish gained weight, color, and started to "thrive" instead of just "survive"
