What do you get when you add roaches + warm weather?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Aw cool, roaches. Yeah, my wife would totally lose it. We have the big flying ones down here, when I brought in the Xmas decos from the shed last year there was one in the box...she ran in the bathroom and hid until I found it :)

Do people handle their roaches at all... I mean they aren't exactly pest roaches and they are pretty cool inverts.

My girlfriend is still not used to them yet, don't think she ever will. I occasionally take one out and chase her around the house with it:ROFL:

You're as twisted as I am, I would so do that!!!

My roach colonies are exploding like crazy with this warm weather 8)

These are just the top two layers, there's even more roaches in the last 4-5.

I like handling the Discoids as they're a lot bigger and just seems to be more like pet bugs kinda hard to feed them off but the Dubia no problem.

Those pics bring me back to my pet store days...we had 2 colonies going in 50 gallon tubs...we threw any kind of food we could in there, and never had to spend a dime to feed any of the lizards, geckos, or insect-eating fish. The big oscars at the store loved them...

Hey Mad About Cichlids, what do you feed your roaches? I give mine ground up dog kibble, fish flakes, grated carrots, applesauce, baby food and Fluker's Cricket Quencher water supplement.
