I drove dry goods from Ogden to Salt Lake, across the salt flat to Tooele, and over the mountain to the Dugway missile range. I was in college, working summers, and I did a lot of miles across the Rockies as well. I was even a union Teamster for two years after Vietnam ended. 50,000 engineers and techies got laid off here and I was one of them. I'd been drawing tooling to build aircraft lift truck parts.
