So what you guys are telling me is that you’ve never driven across the desert in July, Hmmm?
Of course I wasn’t doing door to door delivery is like UPS. I was going from one terminal to another. But I had to move all my own boxes in and out on a dolly.

I was driving an Air Force PX truck and there was no AC. The good thing is that I was on the open highway most of the time and not stuck in the city traffic going slow.
But once you get out there on the salt flats it is bloody hot.
Many years ago the PX became the BX. I guess by the time I was driving there it was the base exchange but formerly it was called the post exchange.
