What do you guys feed your cichlids??

Is NLS all hype, or is it actually worth buying?

As far as ingredients go, it's the best in the business. I've never kept a fish that didn't immediately take to NLS. There are other decent foods out there, but IMO NLS is leaps and bounds ahead of them.

Staple is omega one and nls.

As treats I do freeze dried krill, mysis shrimp and emerald entree cubes for the veggies.

If you already feeding hikari, then feed cichlid bio-gold+ instead of plain gold as it has much better ingredients and no starch/corn flakes.
I would also advise to stop feeding beef heart, there is absolutely no reason a red terror needs that in its diet.
If you want to feed a treat, then freeze dried krill only IMO.
But if you plan to feed a staple other than bio gold +, then NLS hands down.

you should not be concerned with the treats to feed your red terrors.
rather you should focus on the staple to feed your fish every day to see growth and color improvements in a healthy way.
And if you want to do that naturally, then trust this board and go with NLS

I feed my Geo Cichla NLS, Omega One Pellets for bottom feeders, throw in Omega One Micro Algae pellets every other day, IMO some kind of plant matter keeps fish healthy, most prepared fish foods claim to have algae in their ingredients.:)
