I gave you wrath because you were complaining about someone's giant fish when you have the largest reef bony reef fish in the world, the Bumblebee Grouper (grows to 3m and 880 pounds) in a 210 gallon tank which already has a 5 foot plus moray eel

Their pretty ballin right? :D

Being overstocked ATM and grow out tanks are different. I was giving them the space they needed until they needed bigger. Now they have their 12ft runway. I still fail to see hypocrisy in that. Though that was a different matter and this is now. I don't care for flowerhorns much but that one seriously can't even turn around...

Is he some kind of retailer for them? If not, what a tool!
A store here that used to be a BigAls has a similar display set up for their FH.If I had a higher opinion of flowerhorns,I would probably be bothered by this.

Nope from his youtube info it says this is his so called "fish room" to me it's more like "fish prison.........
Good call.

Oh no, not another "my tiny glass box is bigger than your tiny glass box, so you suck" thread. Personally I'd give em more room, but the fish are healthy looking and not deformed...so defining what is too small a space is up to the individual.

Those fish are IMHO more "happy" than a number of large active fish we keep regularly, like ID sharks, TSNs, etc, in small tanks.

EDIT: Funny how putting bettas in the same set-up seems to be appropriate...
Well said, especially with the betta example.

I think it's cruel. I can understand if he's QTing them that way, but he obviously isn't. He's obviously doing 1 or 2 things.

1. Wants as many flowerhorns as possible, but can't afford the tanks.
2. He's getting them and selling them.

If he's posting on Youtube, I would say he's just trying to show off, and have as many as he can get.

That is the equivalent of keeping a 20'' Koi in a 55 gallon aquarium. It just doesn't work.

If he's on MFK I say: :banhim:

i hope he's not on MFK if he is i don't think he would even dare to show his face!

EDIT: actually i do hope he is on MFK so maybe we could let him know not to keep flowerhorn like that

Better pristine water and cramped conditions than more room and gross water I guess. =/ they do look super PO about the whole situation. I think it might be a competition arrangement like Alyssa said too.

There are many fish that I feel sorry for. I have to admit that I pity fish in nasty water more than fish whithout enough room. I know that if my favored LFS had fish that size and only that much tank room, those flowerhorns would be practically free just to get them to bigger tanks. My LFS owner is awesome.

I don't care who this individual is. But what I do know that the way the environment is for those fish is not natural. They can not be themselves, and yes I must agree with an earlier mentioned statement, "It is nothing but a fish prison." The types of things such as this is not any better than "puppy mills". Yes, I am an activist and these two videos from U-Tube make me really annoyed and unhappy.

I can almost assure you that he sells them and that is for selling purposes because those fish being kept that close together would most defnitely not end up with such nice specimens due to the stress they would most probably endure.

IF this is how he houses them however MEH it is his fishroom and I COULD CARE LESS!!!!!!!

Really, I do not have the time to waste worrying about how some dude on youtube or anyone else on the internet keeps their fish. Really nothing can be done about it .

Now if I were at his house, that is another story.

Really why worry about what other people are doing wrong do what you do and do it right.
