I recently saw this juvenile Oscar in a store with a bunch of white ones with various notes of black in them. I am not an Oscar expert but it intrigued me a lot. So I wanted to ask around here if you think he might develop into something interesting. I am just used to seeing the classic and young tiger oscars. Thanks

If by “interesting” you mean unique, then probably not. That’s a pretty typical pattern for a young oscar. The degree of coverage at its age may result in a high coverage adult, which would be attractive, but not necessarily unique.

Oscar fry appearance and the final adult appearance are two separate things.
As an example I started with this girl.

My son picked her out. She had six dots or so of orange on each side.

Now add 1 year of growth and she turned into this.

I have seen it here many times. A Oscar fry looks one way, then grows into a completely different look. All you can do is strap into the roller-coaster and enjoy the ride.
