What do you guys think? Too many fish?

Liz, btw, all of the adults and juvies I have of both species...not a single one is aggressive.

Oh yes. I have lots already in there. I'll need to get some larger ones also. I have about 7 large ones and about 10 medium/ small ones. I will need MORE ROCKS though. I'll be getting loads more though. I have about 20 though. That should be okay for them while they're small and as I get paychecks they'll get more rocks.

The good news is they are very active swimmers, especially the males. The bad news is it's hard to get a good shot when they're constanty moving! The really bad news is my Blackberry is mediocre at best. And, for total fail, you can figure in my lack of photography skills!

Here is the L. Fuellerborni Male (Dad):
(you can also see the Malandia Mom above him)

Maylandia Dad (it took me 20 minutes to get even this poor shot! lol):

Again, sorry for the poor quality. But, hopefully this gives you an idea what they look like :)

Take care...

Glad you like them :)

No, I can't tell sex at this size. An expert with a better image may be able to. I am "guessing" one male and one female though based solely on size. That is as unscientific as you can get of course, but at this age, I don't have any other indications.

On the L. Fuellerborni, I am pretty sure you'll get a mix since there will be six. By the way, one of the other females just released more fry last night. There will be plenty more down the road if you want them lol.

Take care...

The fuelerbornii or the Maylandia released? I'm hoping your unscientific approach works. That way I can start my own colony! I'm just wondering one thing... why are you giving them to me for free? I REALLY appreciate it I'm just wondering.

No need to be sorry.

I just wanted to make sure more of the African experts could see the thread. :)

Yeah... I forgot they were African's... but Malawi would definitely be in Africa....

The L. Fuellerborni released. I haven't seen the Maylandia holding for awhile, but I might have missed something too with all the other activity that's been going on.

I am a member of MCA, our Nebraska Chapter has some pretty amazing, pretty intense fish keepers. Most of the guys/gals are pretty full on fish. I don't want to my LFS to feel obligated to keep taking fry (though he specifically requested the remainder of the L.F. fry after I send your 6. The Marble Cat male is fairly rare and so far he is producing marbled fry).

I am not really interested in advertising on Craigslist and having to deal with no shows, low ballers, etc.

What I see is an opportunity to move out some really cool fish to a caring, dedicated and passionate fish keeper! I would GLADLY give away my fry everytime to people like you versus trying to find someone I don't know a thing about just to get them off my hands.
