What do you guys think?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha, No my parents dont want me out soon.

I live in an external part of the house. A converted garage with an upstairs and down stairs. And i pay housekeeping :)

Im Considering The Blood Parrot? Would he be ok with my O's and JD??

The blood parrot will be fine. I read the whole thread but I would just like to add that if you must insist on getting one of the three aforementioned fish, the knife fish would be by far your best bet. The tanks is too small but it is the best out of the choices. The arrow will get too large and is too active and the catfish will likely bust out of your tank in a few years. I also see in your sig that its has an asian rtc...whatever you do, don't do this. They are among the most aggressive catfish and will almost definately kill all of your other fish in a years time or so.

IF you like catfish, a lima shovelnose would be a good bet as well as a megalodoras irwini, if it happens to outgrow your tank then it will be highly desirable at that size as compared to a rtc which you couldn't give away for free if you tried, atleast around here. As for other compatible fish, a fire eel, maybe a school of clown loaches, bichirs, silver dollars ect...

Ok guys. I have very muck taken your advice. Im not going to get the catfish and not 100% on either the arrowana or clown knife anymore. I believe it is 6x2x2. The around 600L was a silly guess. I have my oscars and jack Dempsey who i actually adore. So im thinking about not getting them anymore and getting an electric blue jack Dempsey What fish could i put with my fish? I know the general but i want something you wouldn't find in every tank.

Thanks for all the responses,
Kyle.

I'm glad you changed your mind:thumbsup: I personally like ca/sa cichlids but if you looking for something different, try looking up Polypterus on this site. They should be fine with your current stock. Or maybe some smaller crenicichla but those may a bit difficult because of aggression. I would go to those sub forums on this site to get more info on them. Take your time on choosing your fish and as much as possible before you pull that trigger, it should save you a lot of heart ache.

Im not getting the RTC based on your guys feedback, Im also not getting the Silver Arrowana. But i did purchase a Clown Knife on saturday and he has been fine in my tank. Not eating much as yet but this (as far as i know from google) is because he is getting used to his new surroundings. For now, Im just keeping my 2 oscars, 1 JD and One Clown Knife. At least until january :) Thanks for guys feed back, I will keep you updated with pictures when the new tank arrives! :)
