I'd suggest you get rid of that common Pleco PCFRIEDRICH, he creates more mess than good. And does a number on your nitrates.

190 US Gallons:

12" Parachromis managuense male (Jaguar)
6" Parachromis managuense female (Jaguar)
6" Parachromis managuense male (Jaguar)

2x 13" Psuedoplatystoma fasciatum (Tiger Shovelnose Catfish)
7" Synodontis eupterus (Featherfin Catfish)

The 12" male jag and 6" female jag breed regularly. The female loiselli breeds with the male freddy. She used to breed with the male loiselli. Up until a week ago, I had a 15" male jag in there. He broke his back hitting the glass protecting his fry (he spawned once with the same 6" female jag). I just added the 6" male jag and the 5" female jag a couple of days ago after having to euthanize my big male jag. I also used to keep a 5" male Convict in there. He survived from fry size in that tank when I fed about 100 Convict fry to the big ones. I have since moved him in with my Convict breeding program, aka food factory. All these guys including 6 or 7 pairs of breeding Convicts will go in my new tank (360g) as soon as I get it set up. I'm finishing up the stand now. It's stained, I just have to polyeurathane it. There's a big thread with a bunch of pictures in the Photo Lounge somewhere around page 2. The thread used to be in here, but the mods moved it to the Photo Lounge (I would guess because there were so many pics).

I wish I could add a male dovii in the new tank to have all five Parachromis together, but I think that would be pushing my luck a little.:D

nothing poops more than it eats. he cleans up leftover food (that my oscar is inevitably going to drop). the leftover food would be doing a number on my water quality as well...

I just do lots of water changes, as you can imagine with my stocklist in that 55 gallon.

got con fry, just saw it today. doubt any survive too long, though. not in that tank, anyway.
