What do you keep with your arowana?

What about tankmates for a Jardini?

NONE. almost everything you put in will certainly be killed, unless it is a fair bit bigger than the jar.

I have seen some beautiful red oscars out there. There are not many colorful schooling fish. I am surprised to hear that discuss do well with arowana. But I am going to try them and buy the arowana extra small. Do you think its worth it going for the black or silver arowana?

it depends on your prefurance...get the one that you like more...alot of people including myself are getting or have had/do have both...

Some aros don't go after smaller fish. There is a member here who has an aro with a ton of smaller fish and says it has never eaten any of them.

even if they are bigger then the jar it may still try to kill it...i was watching a 2' jar try and take out 4-6 different aussie lungs that were like 4' at shedd in chicago...it was funny

Well I just set up my tank and so far I have:
4 tiger barbs
1 shovelnose
2 angelfish
1 cuckoo synodontis
3 clown loaches
1 Pleco
1 5" silver arowana

am I overstocked or can I add a pair of geophagus or severums or some discus? They all seem to be doing well
