When i still had my jar i kept it with a 6" common pleco 2 3" red parrots 2 2" green terrors and a 4" flowerhorn.the flowerhorn didn't work out so i traded him,green terrors kept getting in it's way so i traded it in,but overall the red parrots didn't get bothered at all by my jar lols the jar was around 8"

i currently have my 12" jar with a 13-14" silver, a bunch of indo dats ranging from 1.5-7", 2 different kinds of royal plecos 3-4", and a flagtail proc.
before i had it with a indo dats, flagtail, royal pleco, sexfaciatus, gold head comp., 6 discus, and 2 silver aros. this is when the jar was about 7-10". sold the other fish... he never killed any of the above fish listed. forgot to mention my mass tetra experiment... surprisingly majority of the tetras were eaten by the dats and barely any of them were touched by the jar.
before that size i had him with an angel fish, 3 L066 king tiger pleco, danios, 1" dats and regular pleco. he ate the danios, but ignored the rest
only victims to jar were feeders, danios, and some tetras through the lifespan of my jar so far

my 12" jar lives with - 12" oscar, 10" JD, 12" ID shark, 14" Indian Shovelnose, 12" Pleco, 10" Red Snook. The Jar snaps at the snook occasionally but thats about it. He also used to live with bichirs when he was smaller. I also had him with tankmates since he was TINY. Of course I do worry that once he gets larger there will be trouble....
well, i've learned now that Its a hit and miss with these guys. but they seem to do much better with more tankmates than just a few.
so i'm guessing the key is to gey lucky
and to have so many fish the agression is just not there.

15" jar + 6" gt + 6" jd + 5" & 6" thin bars + large red hooks x 2 + 8" butterfly pleco + 6" common pleco + 8" ornate + 7" f. festae
the jar is realli aggr, and it keeps all the cichlids in their cave/hiding places at all time, except for when it's feeding

My Jar is about 16" and he's in with a wyckii, Sailfin Pim, some dats, 2 bichirs, 2 megalodorus cats, a gar, and a spotted raph.
I used to have tinfoils in there as dithers but I started having more problems with them being in there so I got rid of them. Now he is fine...barely any aggression. Every once in a while he'll snap at a tank mate but I just throw in a jumbo shrimp and he tears that apart instead.

hey mate i keep my jar with an australian bullrout/stonefish, they r so awsome beginning to become my fav fish hard to beleive! lol

a new update
i tried adding a 10" albino walking catfish yesterday and my jar went psycho
have the catfish in a 6'x1.5'x1' tub now recovering
