I would still prefer a 8ft 300 gallon over a 6ft is what I am getting at. I am not a fan at all of taller tanks.

I'm just not sure the extra 2' of length is worth the potential problems and other considerations. I guess once we get into the new house I can see what my space looks like, Who knows i may go bigger.

Bigger can be better. Besides I am saving for it now, so when I am ready it won't kill me to finish it off properly.

What is euro braced? Do you have a pic of your tank?

Euro bracing is where they double up on glass like at the bottom, up top.. Actually adding a small glass brace. No pics of mine but you can see what I mean in this pic.

6x3' is a cool tank though. Esp if you really only have 6' length space to work with.
